Free Samples Of My Bass Charts
Below is a small sample of my work. I take playing bass seriously. I also take writing bass charts seriously. Some of the charts below are handwritten and some I used a program called, "Finale NotePad" available here. If it's a simple jam tune then I won't write a bass chart but if it is something that requires a special syncronicity with the drummer and uniqueness harmonically with the keys and guitar, a chart is written. Writing a bass chart also helps me to learn a song faster. It also helps to refresh my memory if I haven't played a song in a long time. I also write out vocal charts with lyrics when I'm singing a particularly interesting lead vocal. All I can say is thank God for Berklee College of Music. They really got my ears tuned with classes like, "Ear Training", "Listening Analysis", "Voicings Derived From Chord Scales" and "Jazz Theory." Hey, I know that sometimes the stems are going in the wrong direction or the time signature is missing or some other thing it incorrect by purists standards. These charts were
written for me, thus they didn't need to be visually perfect...but sonically accurate. Also, most of these songs are two, three or four pagers. If you want the other pages you'll have to contact me.
